Space 7 is learning Te Reo Maori.
They've created their own Pic Collage and verbally explains what the picture is about and Whaea will help translate it into Te Reo Maori, getting them to repeat. Pānui mai

Whaea Liz - Week 2
I wish to advise everyone that Term 1 2014 work will be updated in the coming weeks.
Teacher's update:
We are in the second week of Term 2. The children have come back from their holidays ready to learn. Thank you for every parent and caregiver at home on board with Homereader's every night of the School-week including Fridays! To keep you updated, I have introduced a Wa Watea Wednesday - Play to Learn on Wednesday afternoons - parents/caregivers you are welcome to come in and join us. This is an opportunity for me to 'whakarongo' (listen to) and 'mahi tahi' (co-operate/participate) with the children and not look at them as an 'observer':
Last Wednesday I read a story called I don't like the dark - the purpose to show two children in 'imaginative play'. The story talks about the fun things the two girls like to do, shadow puppets, huts and tents and many other imaginative activities.
Space 7 children this week are learning through play how to ask permission. Posing questions like: Can I please join in? Can I please use that block for my building? Would you like to play with me? Interestingly enough, it was a great afternoon of CO-OPERATION EVERYWHERE!
