Taniwha Taniwha He aha te taima?
In class we read a book about a little boy who wanted to ask the Taniwha what time it was. As well we are learning our numbers in Te Reo Maori. We are also asking what time is it? To make it fun we decided to play that game like the game "What's the time Mr Wolf?". We love it, we love taking turns and we love being a sneaky Taniwha.

Our Winter Descriptions
Lately it has been very cold. We have talked about the change in weather from Autumn to Winter. In class we have talked about what we see outside the classroom when it is winter and how that can make us feel. Over two weeks, we wrote about the wind, the frost and the rain.
Remember to click on the link above and leave us a positive message about our writing. Thank you

Waiata-a-ringa, Poi, Rakau
Kei te mahi waiata-a-ringa, poi, rakau, i te marae. Engari ko te mea nui, Ko te WHAKAWHANAUNGATANGA.
He rawe ta matou haerenga.
We enjoyed action songs, stick games and poi drills. The best thing about out trip to the marae was the CONNECTEDNESS (Close relationships/friendliness/respect/honor) that we gave to each other that evening and day. We had to work together to prepare the food, the bedding and to care for one another as friends (classmates). It was pretty scary for some of us, there were 13 Space 7 children who stayed the night, and only 5 of our parents stayed. So, some of us had to show a lot of Kia Kaha (to be brave) that night to stay a night away from our own families.

He pai tenei mahi.
